Zappa, Macca History Making Guitars Auction
Cooper Owen’s 28th July Music Legends auction will take place at the historic Abbey Road Studios, London and will includes range of must-have music items.
Highlights listed on the Cooper Owen website include:
- FRANK ZAPPA's Gibson Les Paul gold top guitar together with a sheepskin jacket worn at the Royal Albert Hall in 1969

- THE DOORS Jim Morrison's last known handwritten notebook, containing finished and unfinished poems, lyrics and musings, Paris 1971
- A rare and important collection of lots relating to THE WHO including two T-shirts worn by KEITH MOON, the oxygen tank kept beside his drumkit and a guitar body smashed on stage by PETE TOWNSHEND
- A fantastic archive of Beatles related contracts, flyers and ephemera from the personal collection of SIR GEORGE MARTIN to be sold in aid of his charity
- JOHN LENNON’S ‘Home’ T-shirt and his Harmonica
- A rare and important collection of unseen 1960s photographs of the Liverpool scene in the sixties including the ROLLING STONES, BEATLES, KINKS, THE WHO, DYLAN and others, all SOLD WITH COPYRIGHT
