You Got It: Gibson Roy Orbison ES 335 Reissue

Gibson Custom not-to-long-ago announced the Roy Orbison Gibson ES 335 Reissue -- the latest addition to their “Inspired By” line of signature instruments.

The Gibson Roy Orbison 335 Reissue

"This guitar is an accurate reproduction of the black ES 335 which Roy used during the Traveling Wilburys period. Additionally, the guitar has Roy’s signature engraved on the truss rod cover and a mock up of the proposed Roy Orbison postage stamp affixed to the back of the headstock. Production of this guitar is limited to 70 pieces honoring Roy’s 70th birthday" Gibson Europe said.

The Roy Orbison Gibson ES 335 marks the opening of Haunting and Yearning: The Life and Music of Roy Orbison, a new exhibit at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland, Ohio.

It's a nice looking guitar, but I think I'd rather get the BB King version.
