Who collects 1960's vintage Japanese guitars, as a hobby?

Teisco ET-200
Teisco E-110
Kay ET-200
Heit Deluxe (model unknown, twin pickups with tremalo bar)
Conrad (model unknown, single pickup, similiar to Gibson SG junior)

All are 100% original, although NOT in mint condition.
I had to do some work on them (new nut, string bar, bridge piece, etc.)
Couldn't help myself, I did mod the Tiesco E-110 (one neck pickup), with a RY Cooder/Teisco gold foil pickup.
Sorry vintage fans, it is too good a pickup NOT to use!

8) I had trouble just getting a pic of my 57 P Bass on here. For some reason my computer does not like uploading !! I'll see what I can do. If you send me your email it may be easier to send them that way. 8)

Hey guys,

I've got a freakishly obsessed number of 60's MIJ guitars, you can see about half of them at VintAxe.com.

Although I love the style and tone of most of them it is true that their quirkiness prevents most of them from being reliable daily drivers. I must confess my main axe is a Smith Strat.

However, I love these instruments for recording. In the tightly controlled setting of the recording studio you can compensate for whatever challenges the instruments might pose and capture some great tone on your songs. Besides that, they look great hanging on the wall!!

8) Yeah Jammin', I know what you mean. The last three CD's my band has recorded I have used ny original 52 P Bass on some of the songs, and 60's MIJ, Italian, and USSR stuff on MOST of the songs. They seem to have that Hip & Groovy,Lowdown,BBQ, Voodoo-Mojo vibe that sounds great on loud and rowdy Blues !! 8)
