Robert Nesta Marley, OM (February 6, 1945 – May 11, 1981), better known as Bob Marley, was a Jamaican singer, songwriter, and guitarist. He is the most widely known performer of reggae music, and is famous for having popularized the genre outside Jamaica. A faithful Rastafari, Marley is regarded by many as a prophet of the religion, as well as one of the greatest songwriters of all time.
Reggae is a music genre developed in Jamaica in the late 1960s.
Cannabis (marihuana) is a genus of flowering plant that includes one or more species. The plant is believed to have originated in the mountainous regions just north-west of the Himalayas in India, though it could also have come from Northern Africa. It is also known as hemp, although this term usually refers to varieties of cannabis cultivated for non-drug use. As a drug it usually comes in the form of dried flowers (marijuana), resin (hashish), or various extracts collectively referred to as hash oil.

Yeah, I never knew Bob’s real name was Robert, either 🙄 and our chum’s host has removed his pages so the links don’t work. Pity that; I wanted to know if “cannabis cup” was the Carribean equivalent of the “Champion’s League”. I imagine both home and away supporters shout “Come on you black, red, green and yellows!”
One interesting bit for all you roll-your-owns with an eye for a legal loophole. Some states define the illegal marihuana as Cannabis sativa so, if you can get your dealer to supply you with a different species, you could be in the clear. The drawback is; the same states have laws against “playing music that ain’t Country” 😆

The only thing i did’nt know there was that his name was Robert, i thought i was Bob, but he obviously changed it to try and fool us all.
Also something you did not add, did you know Bobby Marley was Black?
and fact number 2, he is of no relation to Jacob Marley of A Christmas Carol.
Just thought i would enlighten everyone , and it is true, Reggae is a music Genre, but Cannabis is not a ‘genius’ it just seems like it after you hit the munchies and start talking about the origin of Delroy Wilson’s ‘Run Run’ in a fit of giggles. ‘Run Run Run as fast as you can, im gonna get youuuuu.’
