Just for the record, I’m imported into the north (and happy to be here) but I never watch Corrie and haven’t seen Earbenders since the mid-eighties. I am someone for whom the dialogue:

Yes, I do like the juicy iPod dock (is that Cockney rhyming slang?) although it reminds me of the nanoamp thang, albeit what looks like an EL84 should be pumping out more like 5W rather than the Nano’s 12AU7 barely scraping a half. From what I’ve seen of his pup cats, he has a tendency to throw his arm around anybody vaguely famous at trade shows.

Also, I was born in the bit of England ‘Corrie’ is supposed to represent…what the hucking fell…we’re not all like that! (although I did escape at 2 1/2yrs old) But yeah, Eastenders, inbreds with a tendency to murder each other, but you don’t have to visit the south, you could always fly to Leeds/Bradford 🙂

Wolf Creek is a classic, more shocking than the recent pictures of tail less Stingrays turning up on Oz beaches.
‘Head on a stick’ that bit still makes me feel sick now.
Make sure you go when the cricket is on, then, when we stuff em, you can hold your head up and say, ‘YES, i am an ENGLISHMAN !! and im proud of it’ then of course do a runner a dont look back 😆
And remember the OZ culture revolves around an outdoor cooking vessel filled with charcoal and some King Prawns, all their other culture is imported from the US 😉

That was true, until he caught Mike eyeing him up at the urinals, then it was a first class ticket all the way back to California.
I dont think of myself as a ‘Great Britain’ anymore, i think of myself as English, and i for one wont be voting for a Scotsman to be our next PM.

I once shook hands and had a lengthy disucssion about EL34 valves with the equally great Andy Marshall, of UniValve, BiValve, Plexi THD fame.
Bass would have loved it, he was talking about Plate voltages, hand wired custom output transformers, the advantages of shielded multi stranded copper wire over unshielded single core silver/copper mix, oh they were the days, i was of course on several types of medication in those days. 😆
I did know someone who used to be Seymours secretary in Santa Barbara, it was in his early days of pick up design, he was (aledgedly) supposed to have been a bit of a letch.
