I've added a fair bit of new guitar related software to Shareware Music Machine since GNW's last "Latest Software" article. Here's just some of it:

There's something for everyone in TabPlayer 6.0, a freeware guitar tab editor and player. It features a tab editor/player/printer, MP3 looper, an illustrated chord dictionary, a metronome, a guitar tuner and more.

As is there in TabIt 2.01, a tablature editor, viewer, tuner and player all in one.

Beginners take a look at ActionTab Volume One Demo is guitar tution tool that uses a virtual fretboard to show you exactly how to play.

Also check out Sight Reader for Bass and Sight Reader for Guitar.

GuitarVision v1.7 for Win and Mac is a animated fretboard to help you learn to play your favourite songs.

Need a tuner? Dirk's Instrument Tuner 1.2 can be used to tune a wide range of instruments like guitars, pianos, accordions, organs, flutes and violins. It is even able to tune the two tones of beating instruments, like the accordion, at once.

Axe-N-Skin for Win and Mac is a 1/3 Gig Loop collection of 24-bit Elite-Metal-REX2 Gothic Doom Drum Grooves and Doom Guitar Riffs. The Acoustic Dreadnought Strummer ReFill for Win and Mac is a "Strummable" Acoustic Guitar for Reason. Over 510 megs of 338 natural acoustic 24 bit/44.1 samples.

Cortex is free VST guitar amplifier with it's own unique sound.

If you would like to download more guitar programs head to the following Shareware Music Machine software categories:
