Very nice recorder, didnt we discuss these recorders a few months back?
Sony had a mega exspensive one? whats the retail on this one?
Nice recording of Bernie too.

Yes we did lee_UK
But the H4 is really new (not available before december in france) and very more affordable (400 usd).

In the other thread, I mentioned how the guitarist and I used a MD recorder just to get ideas down? Well, I've just bought a DV camera for about £90 (Aiptek) and it also records "voice" (ie, anything) as audio files. What a little treat that is. Straight onto the PC for mucking about with. Again, not proper quality but great for quick ideas grabs.

Next you will be connecting tin cups with string to your guitar.

Seriously though, a cheap DV cam is a good idea for catching ideas.

Another useful is if you want to post up a comparison to a forum such as this one. A thread such as "AC30 reissue vs original" can be really enhanced with a couple of clips to link to, yet it's not worth the hassle of converting a recording and suchlike. With this, just record the two samples and upload the files to a suitable host. Quality's perfectly good enough for the task. I'm hoping to do something of the sort soon.

No comparison, the reissue either Milton Keynes made or China wins hands down, reliability on the reissues makes up for any minute sound difference, and the new Alnico Blue celestions are far better than those old worn out 60's originals.

 , I can hear the "heresy" cries from the Plexi Palace forum. Still, my own personal exp is that I almost never like vintage, flubby speakers (albeit I play bass through them and they can't handle it).

Still, my point is that, if I ever do a "how this amp compares with that amp" kindof thing, the ability to quickly clip up some sound files without having to go through a desk adds appeal.

Hello all.
I'm back with "zoomies" news!
Many many people have bought a H4.
Too expensive? No problem this is the "little brother" available on may :the H2.
A very interesting concept with a 360 degrees recording , maybe ideal to record live performances.

Looks great for drunken-evening acoustic-jam type sessions. I have a bit of a thing against Zoom having only ever had the 505 and 506 models inflicted on me, but this looks nice...

I agree.
But the new generation of products by zoom is really good!
