Hot Hand is the only effects system that allows musicians
to use hand motions as a means of controlling
parameters such as Filter Position, Speed and Depth
when used with the company’s proprietary motioncontrolled
Hot Hand Wah Filters and Phaser/Flanger
effects consoles. The new Hot Hand Wireless Adapter system consists of
a lightweight wireless motion sensor ring device and a
small RF receiver that plugs directly into the SENSOR IN
port on the rear panel of the Hot Hand effects console.
The RF transmitter can transmit over 100 feet and is
designed to allow up to four wireless systems to be used
on stage at a time without RF interference problems.
The Hot Hand system is licensed for worldwide wireless use
and the wireless motion sensor ring features a rechargeable
Lithium Ion battery that provides up to 8 hours of
battery life and recharges in an hour.Currently being adopted by leading artists such as
guitarist Vernon Reid of Living Colour, Money Mark of
The Beastie Boys and BT, electronic music pioneer and
composer, the Hot Hand Motion-Controlled effects
system marks a significant evolution in the art of signal
processing. The incorporation of a wireless adapter
ensures the ongoing acceptance of the systems by
musicians everywhere.Hot Hand Wah Filters offers musicians 11 “wah” type filter
effects including Classic Wah, 2 Low Pass, 2 Band Pass, 4 Multi
Peak, Auto-Wah mode, and Volume Swell/Tremolo. The system
includes 4 easily stored and recalled presets to save user settings.
The control scheme includes a Motion knob that controls the
sensitivity of the motions sensor for use with small or big
movements. An Active Analog Bypass provides full analog
routing during bypass and prevents signal degradation in
long effects chains. The system features 56-bit DSP, co-developed with Analog
Devices, Inc., and crystal clear 24-bit A/D D/A converters that
offer truly exceptional sound quality. Hot Hand Wah Filters’
elegant, high quality user interface allows players to easily
control the frequency range of the wah and the sensitivity of
the effects by using different hand and body motions so they
can create signature sounds all their own.The motion-controlled Phaser/Flanger system features 7
Phasing effects and 7 Flanging effects, producing 14 total
effects which can be further modulated using four Modulation
Sources: the Hot Hand wireless motion sensor, an LFO (Low
Frequency Oscillator), Envelope Follower and Sequencer.
With 14 total effects and 4 modulation sources, up to 56
sounds can be achieved. The Sequencer can create 81 patterns.
The Phaser/Flanger also provides controls for depth, delay
speed and motion sensitivity.Hot Hand Wah Filters and Phaser/Flanger were created so that
guitarists can manipulate effects tailored to their particular sound,
style and approach and also create new effect variations without
being limited by traditional floor-mounted pedal effects. This new
approach to controlling effects also opens up the possibility for a
whole new level of physical expression and showmanship in live
performances. The movement of the hand or body as the act of
playing actually becomes the expression pedal.Hot Hand Wireless Adapter Features & Specifications
