    – Press Release

Epiphone unveiled new electric, acoustic, bass and pack designs for 2007 at this year’s NAMM show. Below is a look at what you can expect to see this year from Epi.

    EPIPHONE LES PAUL STUDIO ‘CHAMELEON”

    Epi 2007

With its unique ability to change color depending on light and viewing angle, ‘flip-flop’ paint is already the ultimate feature on customized cars and bikes. For 2007, Epiphone is dragging this concept into the world of rock ‘n’ roll, with three new Les Paul Studio models that combine traditional LP tonewoods, pickups and hardware with mind-blowing flip paint. Three Chameleons will make their debut at NAMM 2007 (Blue/Green, Bronze/Salmon, Silver/Blue), and they aren’t about to blend into the background.

    EPIPHONE LES PAUL STUDIO

Killer looks and classic tone are on the cards as Epiphone adds three new finishes to the top-selling Les Paul Studio series for NAMM 2007. Whether you walk away with the Arctic Blue, Worn Brown or Worn Cherry version of this iconic rock guitar, you get the powerhouse punch of Alnico Classic humbuckers and the sensational combination of a mahogany body and slim-taper mahogany neck.

    EPIPHONE EM-1

    Epi 2007

Epiphone’s famous EM model is back in black for 2007. With a stunning ebony finish, a double cutaway body made from premium alder, hard maple used for the new ‘SpeedTaper’ satin-finish neck and a pair of hot open-coil humbuckers (700T/650R) supplying the beef and the bite, the EM has never looked as mean or sounded as mental.

    EPIPHONE NICK VALENSI RIVIERA P94

    Epi 2007

Strokes axeman Nick Valensi has previously collaborated with Epiphone to create a signature Riviera as part of the Elitist range. At Winter NAMM 2007, the coolest signature model in the world gets even more affordable with the launch of the Epiphone Nick Valensi Riviera P94. Featuring the same semi-hollow styling that has made the Riviera a rock icon combined with twin Gibson P-94 pickups for an unbeatable high-output tone, this is a true stroke of genius.

    EPIPHONE SST STUDIO

    Epi 2007

There is a revolution in the air at NAMM 2007 as Epiphone unveils the SST Studio. Bearing little resemblance to anything else on the market, this groundbreaking electro-acoustic shreds the rulebook by combining its solid mahogany body with computer-designed sound chambers, active Shadow preamp with headphone output and NanoFlex pickup. The result is a model that delivers natural acoustic tone in any situation and at any volume.

    EPIPHONE PERFORMER ME/SE

    Epi 2007

As two of the most anticipated electro-acoustics at NAMM 2007, the Performer ME and SE have all the qualities of a classic Epiphone. Whether you choose the maple-topped ME or fall for the spruce-topped SE, the combination of premium tonewoods, bulletproof construction and Epiphone’s revolutionary new eSonic2 stereo preamp system adds up to a performance you won’t want to miss.

    EPIPHONE MASTERBILT AJ-500M/DR-500M

    Epi 2007

The Masterbilt is back at NAMM 2007. For the first time ever, Epiphone’s critically acclaimed and top-selling AJ-500M and DR-500M will be available with a gloss finish body. Featuring all-solid tonewoods, impeccable handling and the kind of tone that will bring you to your knees, these models have earned their right to join the legendary Masterbilt family.

    EPIPHONE EMBASSY STANDARD-IV PLUS

Get ready for booty-shaking tone and pulse-raising looks as Epiphone unveils the Embassy Standard-IV Plus bass at NAMM 2007. Undoubtedly the most attractive, responsive and powerful active bass you’ll find at this kind of price point, this bad boy comes equipped with a basswood body, a figured maple top, active EQ electronics and twin 700T humbuckers.

    EPIPHONE EL-SEGUNDO-IV

Launching at NAMM 2007, this is the first electro-acoustic bass to put heavyweight performance within reach of the working musician, with classic Advanced Jumbo styling, premium tonewoods and an undersaddle piezo to take the tone to the stage.

    EPIPHONE NIKKI SIXX BLACKBIRD

    Epi 2007

When Mötley Crüe wildman Nikki Sixx hooked up with Epiphone to create a brand-new signature bass, they let him do exactly what he wanted. The result is the stunning Nikki Sixx Blackbird, which combines moody looks, unique Sixx-designed features and earth- shaking ‘DeepSixx’ bass humbuckers to make it the model the Crüe hardcore have been waiting for.

    EPIPHONE SST CLASSIC 1.75/2.0

The Epiphone SST Classic 1.75 and 2.0 are classical guitars – but not as we know it. At a time when most electro-acoustic guitars stick to a formula, these models dare to be different, with a revolutionary solidbody design that comprises a spruce top and mahogany body, combined with computer-designed sound chambers to deliver the most natural acoustic tone imaginable.
