Anyone heard of Profile Acoustic Guitars?

They made guitars mimiced the look of the "actual" guitar, sounded better, and sold it for less. After about 10 or so years, they went out of business because they didn't have enough money. I've got a Profile copy of a "Kramer Striker" and it sounds like an angel. Hope that helps you out!
