How to get a “pedal steel sound”?

Hi everyone.
It this possible in 2007 with any software or vst?
I’m in love with that instrument and I have a few “country” instrumental ideas.

Please have a listen to the fifth sample of this page (God’s country) :exactly the type of sound I am looking for.

Any users here? How long does it take (always a very stupid question!!!!) to be able to use one for a few arrangements?

  I think there are some GarageBand jam packs with pedal steel sounds as well. Depends what production software you have.

  I also quite like the pedal-steel sound. I think you might get more responses if you post this in the ‘guitar’ (electric) section though. I don’t think there would be many dedicated pedal-steel players looking though the ‘acoustic’ section.
