How to get a "pedal steel sound"?

Hi everyone.
It this possible in 2007 with any software or vst?
I'm in love with that instrument and I have a few "country" instrumental ideas.

Please have a listen to the fifth sample of this page (God's country) :exactly the type of sound I am looking for.

Any users here? How long does it take (always a very stupid question!!!!) to be able to use one for a few arrangements?

I also quite like the pedal-steel sound. I think you might get more responses if you post this in the 'guitar' (electric) section though. I don't think there would be many dedicated pedal-steel players looking though the 'acoustic' section.

Some of this software might be worth looking at Acoustica:

I read Meta4 can produce close sounds

I think there are some GarageBand jam packs with pedal steel sounds as well. Depends what production software you have.

Thanks guys!
Michael: your first link is not valid. (that was the first I found too)

Works for me mate. Maybe try again. If not, I'll download it for you and upload it somewhere.

Yes please!
I tried on their website (personalcopy) and Kvraudio too....I'm wondering if you can run that programm with Windows XP.

PM'ing you the URL.

Is there an acoustic version of the B-bender, I wonder?

One quick search later...

Here you go: http://www.stringbender.com/bender/acoustic.html

I saw that system but I didn't find any price........(they mention $1500 but, for what exactly?)

It's a system of pulleys and springs. And installation, I guess.
