I could do with some new gubbins for my bass/guitar. Buying online seems the way to go but there are so many online stores.

This got me thinking…does anyone have any good (or, perhaps more importantly, bad) experiences. Obviously I’ll contribute when I’ve bought something but I figured passing on this info might avoid the rest of us getting messed about. (not that I’m selfish or anything!)

    Tim.

I’m struggling to get a quote for GPM envelopes out of USPS’s website. What are the new rates?

Whatever happened to ‘Pony Express’ ?? you always got your parcel on time, might have had a few Indian arrows sticking out of it, but on the whole you just couldn’t complain, mind you they never did an international delivery did they? unless you count Canada and Mexico as international..
If it’s for pups and suchlike, I strongly recommend you widen your search to worldwide. They’re much cheaper in FleebUS and can be sent by Global Priority Mail (see http://www.usps.com) for $5 or $9 at most. Arrives in five days. Never had a problem with decent-feedback sellers.
It anint that cheap anymore since USPS raised their rates in May 14th! 👿

If it fits in the GPM envelope, Mike, it pretty much is in your hands straightaway. Four days on average. The only slight prob is many Americans haven’t heard of it (not often needing to post abroad) so it sometimes needs explaining. It’s very good for pups, strings, DVDs and other smallish items.

Being in Aust, and with the aussie dollar not being so bad, I’d like to order from the States more often. However, I have this “want it right now in my hands’ mentality and I often buy things at absurd Australian prices.

Everything is cheaper in the US, i paid half the money for a pair of Seymour Duncan pearly gates humbuckers, and also half money for a pair of monster rock guitar cables, Like Bass says, try the US shops.

I recently got ripped off on eBay 🙁 … It was only like $26 but money is money!

Bastard took my money and now he’s not a registered user …
