Lee's thread was a lot of fun, so here is another little game.

We are an English band who despite having 18 albums, only had 1 top 10 hit (UK/US). We changed our name not too long after being formed. We have been around for over 30 years.

Manfred man. Game over, what do i get Mike?

Except Manfred Man and Manfred Man's Earthband were two entirely separate bands.

None of the above. Keep on the 'orgasm' trail so to speak. Some good attempts though, even if we have only worked out every band name possibly linked to sex.

Another clue:

One of the band members has a rooster in his name as well. Not the entire surname, just partial.

It'll be a name like Hancock, Hitchcock or something ending in cock.

The band did indeed have a member whose name ended in 'cock.' A Guitarist infact.

However, this clue does not relate to previous clues. Just a coincidence.

I met Noel Redding once, got his autograph, shook his right hand while his left was holding a tin of John Smiths, nice fella though.
Did Herbie Hancock ever play in a band?

A guy I used to work with (a drummer, to add insult to injury) also met Noel Redding...it's not fair, he's my hero, not yours! Sad
