Seems like a lifetime ago when MTV had that “Unplugged” thing going but some songs are so nicely crafted that they work without all the gizmos. I got my ear hooked into a song playing in my local Sicilian-run cafe and found out the track detail. A band called FSC and track “Non piangere”. Here’s the standard, single release version:

but the beauty of this song is in the chord structure and vocal melody so have a look at the two-acoustic live performance. Better still, no smouldering looks into the camera and “dad dancing”:

Fairly good recording for a camcorder-in-crowd job. Any other nice songs done acoustically that you can link up on this thread?

Nirvana – About a girl unplugged

I heard a song on an old movie recently which stared Harvey Keitel and John Lydon in his first and nearly last acting role. Movie was called Corrupt.

It had a great little acoustic number in it, called Tchaikovsky’s Destruction’ sung by someone called Steve.

That’s got nothing to really do with this thread… but it was a great little number.
