GLW. I apologise for that insulting tone. I mean how Telecaster pickups sound, not the post. I promise you mate, EMG’s simply do the dirty on stock Tele pickups.

Of course, I apologise for calling you a thick cünt. Sorry.
Actually, I can see that they may suit a Telecaster. It’s the EMG humbuckers that I particularly dislike especially when they are loaded into a Gibson guitar, although I concede that they are just the job for certain musical styles (Shredding, etc) – just not my taste that’s all.

I’m obviously revealing my knowledge of chatroom terminology here 😳 As long as nobody goes “lofting” with me 😆

I think Lou is still away… celebrating something, i get the feeling he may be nursing a hangover from Sundays result.

Yes, Lou, I have had a guitar with them on.

They may be “silent” but I simply don’t like their TONE.

My limited exp of EMG bass pups is that they work very well, but they do tend to make basses sound like EMGs… glw´s comment that they would sound the same on a shovel is a sortof compliment to them, as well as a criticism of their main problem; taking over the tone of an instrument.

On the other hand, maybe we´re all thick Cnuts 😆

I think you have touched a nerve there glw.. 😆

Ive never played them, i hear them on recordings and they sound ok, but i prefer boring old stock pups.
I think EMG pickups are hideous and only ever sound like EMG pickups, irrespective of what guitar you install them in.
Well you’re a thick cünt. Have you got any EMG’s? Fekking NO.

EMG’s are silent and beautiful and sound better than anything on a SHÏTE Fender. And that’s it. I know cos I’m a fekkin expert. End of.

Great bass pickups too. Got them on my Spector.

I think EMG pickups are hideous and only ever sound like EMG pickups, irrespective of what guitar you install them in. I see Gibsons with these vile pickups installed and I want to cry. What a way to treat a quality guitar. You could put the same pickups on a shovel and it would sound the same.

No experience of the P-ups in question but as a photographer I’d say you should be fine. The top of the Pup covers look textured this texture catches the light and makes the one in the angled shot look lighter. Look at the sides, screw-hole areas and logo.

However, if in doubt, ring/email the shop, you are thinking of spending $250 with them after all…if they don’t have 3mins for a query, shop elsewhere.
