i brought a marshall mg100dfx about 2 years ago and iv had no trouble until now. my footswitch (2button channel and DFX) decided not to work during a gig. it only works when it wanted to. and if you jigle the cord by the jack it sometimes worked and the same ant the other end. i looked at the jack and a wire had come off so i soldered it back on and it worked perfectly for about 2days then the same then was happening but the wire was still connected. i decided to re solder each wire on the jack and it worked for another 2days then completely stopped. the jack was all twisty and all the parts rotated. i brought a new jack and i forgot which wires went were and ive tried many combinations but it wont work. and im not sure what the fault was with it before.

CAN SOMEONE PLEASE BE OFF ASSISTANCE? i have noo idea how to fix it. and a whole new footswitch is 0 in newzealand and thats a lot of money.

      Hey Petrolhead,

Been reading up on this and the rest of the world seems to agree…this footswitch is a bit crap really.
Only useful stuff seemed to be on marshallampforum.com (there are 27 threads on the amp alone), might be worth reading and/or asking on there.

      Unless anyone has more info…?

Good luck, hope you get it sorted,

      Tim
