Very nice looking red strat though, whats the pickup combination in there?

Blimey Lee - I can't see a banjo in that pic. How did you spot that? Have you got banjo radar or something? Perhaps there's something you shouldbe telling us.

So are you going to try and make these for the general public at any point?

I spent some time out in the woodshop (garage) after work yesterday making preparations for a "production run" of 10 of these stands. I've changed the design just a bit - folks like the golden ratio - and I'm going to do a better job with the final sanding and finish.

Also, they're going to be signed and numbered to "trick" the buyer into thinking they're purchasing a piece of art - I've learned volumes from the many "optimistic eBayer" threads on this forum! Wink

or I'm gonna call you a "noob."

I built it using scrap oak and maple left over from a cabinet project:

It's light-weight, collapsible, and very sturdy.

I'm thinking about whipping out a bunch of them and selling them on eBay. Smile

Call me a ''noob''. All joking apart that stand does look good.
I made a few when I worked for Rolls Royce in the 80's from stainless steel tubing. The neck support seperated from the main structure, much like the stands available today. Never sold any, they took too long to make.

Yep, the banjo's just below those guitar-neck hangers on the wall. I remember neck-hangers being advertized in Musomag small ads in the 90s but the ones at that gig are well dodgy (except for that one designed for a 6-12-bass triple neck; on the far right).
