I have a handcrafted Nanyo Accoustic Guitar. It has brass fittings and mother of pearl inlays. I cannot find any information about this guitar.
When I bought it (around 1985) I was told that nanyo produced a one off line of accoustic guitars.
Can anyone help me with information about this beautiful guitar.

I purchased a Nanyo acoustic in 1895 – still have it – beautiful sounding, think bodied acoustic. It used to have a great amplified sound, but the pick-up no longer works. It’s an unusual thing that sits on the structure under the sound hole.

did you ever find anything out about this?
i’m being offered a ” BROADWAY , produced by sgc nanyo” telecaster allegedly made in japan 1980’s but neither the seller or the web can offer any factual evidence on the origins.
not a very active site this place but i joined up anyway just to reply here. 😀
