What are my Celestion speakers worth?
Submitted by Shaun on Tue, 07/29/2008 - 13:25.
I have a Marshall JCM 800 Lead Series Model 1982B Cabinet with 4 x 12" Original Celestion Rola G12-80 speakers, 15 ohm each, Cone Code: 444, Frame Code: T3103... all in fantastic condition. Does anyone know what these speakers are worth? How about the whole cabinet's value? What year was this cabinet/speakers manufactured?
Any knowledge and insight would be GREATLY appreciated!
Thanks!
Well this guy thinks it's worth $499

I think the 800 series cabs were manufactured in the 80's. I'd think it's worth more than a 900 series because I think they went to particle or mdf board in the 900s. I'm sure someone with more experience will chime in if I'm wrong though .
Celestion-Rola drivers are not as valued as the "pre-Rola" drivers but a 1982B cab has value. Your best bet is to look at completed listings on eBay to see what they actually fetched at auction's end.
You can date the drivers by looking for a printed code on the chassis; something like "JD7" and you can then match that code to the date of manufacture listed here:
