What's your opinion on buying an epiphone.I heard that they were really sturdy and have great sound but I wanted to get a second opinion.thanks in advance.(copy of old one except of the poll that confused people).

My Epi SG was bought new 3-owners ago at about the same time 'Nevermind' was released it's been stabbed, hacked to bits, kicked around and rebuilt and sounds fantastic, built like a tank.

Also good for P-up upgrades etc in the future as it's not like hacking up a Gibson, but as ever...play one first, some people hate the neck.

Nothing wrong with an Epi LP, try to get a set neck one.

They're not bad guitars. However, for the money I'd prefer an ESP as you can get one of the ec series guitar for the same price but with better electronics and tuners.
