What the Hell?....

I just got an ESP LTD AX-260 thinking it was made of basswood or mahogany, and now I find out that it's made out of Agathis. What the hell is Agathis? It sounds crappy clean.

Actually 1bl... I didn't copy and paste that... I wrote it out. So just Type it in and go!!! I'm suprised that basswood isn't that good... The JS series is almost all basswood, I think, and the Satch knows what he's doin'.

It's better to form an opinion of a guitar if you can actually put a finger on it  . That said, I'm surprised a balsawood (sorry, basswood) guitar weighed so much tonnage. Normally, they're lightweight; about their only plus-side.

Maybe i was thinking of Driftwood.

Maybe the particular acoustic qualities of the chosen wood isn't so important when you're playing 90 notes a second or whatever it is he does...

Actually , he plays a wide range of nps/m... he plays soft parts (Come on Baby) or he plays nasty tappy licks (Surfing).

meh
