Ok,
I saw a craigslist add for an indoor yard sale. The sale had a few pictures of old furniture, china, and pretty much looked like an estate sale.
In one of the pictures I saw a guitar to the side. I am not an expert but it looked like an old 40’s to 50’s Gibson guitar.
Check out the photo, can anyone tell me exactly what it is and what it is worth??

Oh yeah, It was listed for tommorrow at 10am, I went by after work to find out someone came by in the morning and picked it up for 0. The seller did not know a thing about the guitar. (this just about killed me, Please tell me it was not a gibson).

I was wondering about Harmony or one of the sold-by-catalog acoustics of the time and Kay is a good possible. I think Harmony acoustics have a little fan club but Kay is more for nostalgia purposes than wanting a vintage classic. Good to know you didn’t lose out.

I had another response from an ebay member who sayed the following:

The pic is kinda small, but I can say it’s not a gibson,it looks like a Kay circa early to mid 1950’s.In great cond. worth about $200.00,if you can find a Kay fan that would care to pay that much,so no you didn’t miss out on much.A nice deal at $20.00 but they have a neck like a 4×4,gorillas can play them, hard on humans, have fun.
Hard to tell from that photo. It looks ’30s to ’40s and you do get some Gibsons with block markers and natural headstock but it could be anything. Worth investigating for $20 but don’t beat yourself up; could’ve been anything.
