Bruno Ventura a Piece of 'Dueling' History?

Hello, Can't remember how I stumbled accross this website but I'm glad I did. I was given an old Bruno Ventura, model 1583, Ser. #14222. I gave care to an older gentleman & boarded at he & his wife's old homestead in sunny Sequim, WA. This gentleman told me that he actually was the co-creator of the original "Dueling Banjos". They played it at a bar somewhere in the pan-handle or at least southeast Alaska. It has one of the most beautiful tones I've ever heard. I just wanted to share this story with other guitar/music lovers.
