    Dear Friends;

    I have a Maya F-335 acoustic guitar presented to me as a gift by my mom in 1976. This is the same guitar i used during my professional career as a folksinger.

    In early 1980’s John Denver had a concert here in Manila, Philippines. He was guesting as a judge in the popular tv program “Eat Bulaga” where he was requested to sing a song. Fortunately, he requested to borrow my Maya F-335 since i am one of the participants competing and i am very proud to lend him then he sings.

    Until now the memory lives on! please email me via [email protected] if you want to see my Maya F335. I am also planning to posts it thru my Facebook account. ThanKs a lot

    Very Happy Razz

      I have a Maya 3540 steel string acoustic which I recently had fitted with an L.R. Biggs Anthem during a repair job with a local luthier. He was completely bowled over with it’s sound and action. I won it in a “The best item in the shop in a London music shop. It certainly is a remarkably good guitar. Next to my Aria Pro II ( Gibson 345 copy) it tops my collection. Every time I play them in public a guitarist will come up and say “Your guitar sounds amazing. At a recent gig I was asked to bring my bass a Schecter pre CBS Precision. I didn’t bother playing the bass as the sound from the Maya/Anthem set up was out of this world. I would love to hear of any information anyone has on either of those guitars.

      I don’t think Maya were one of the better early guitar copies, i have a Telecaster copy from 1981, the build was good but the pickups were a bit weedy. i remember my Dad bought it for me for £180, probably worth that now, maybe a bit more, i would think your accoustic would be the same kind of money.
