Note we’ve added more audio demos and better yet you can see the rig/effects used when you click on it. Just like in the Preset XChange (where we’ve also happened to load all the presets used for these new demos). Thanks!

Things are just crazy (in a good way) and I’m glad people are getting to play around with AmpliTube 3 a lot.

Note that today is the last day to use the AT3PRE coupon for $50 (or 40 Euro) off, so get in during the next hours before it is too late.

Thanks for the kind words. We really aren’t playing up the remastered older models, but you kind of picked up on the fact that the anti-hype was a bit of modesty. There’s a lot to enjoy – we really have learned from the AmpliTube Fender experience but I do try to always say that we’ve also gone beyond that since then. It isn’t like the folks in Italy sat on their hands after Fender. That’s just not the way they roll.

I knew the moveable mics and room stuff would be a hit. And the Orange? Well to me that’s a no-brainer since we NAILED it and the amp is just wonderful so nailing something that special will produce something, well, special.

I knew you’d like that Electric Mistress, and I’ve been getting some great sounds from the Small Stone emulation. All the new models are pretty cool in their own way. Plus, it was time for some more bass stuff and the 360 is a fantastic addition with the others being just as cool. I wonder if someone will put a double bass through the little GK combo like is popular in “the real world”? That has to sound killer, then mangle it with the creative effects mwahahaha!!! 🙂

Anyway, I’m stoked and I’m glad the people who now have it are enjoying it and that everybody else won’t be far behind.

well… ik multimedia has made me super happy by including me in the final beta test period.

amplitube 3 is everything peter and others have been describing over the last few weeks. i had such an excellent time last night playing through it and there are a few key elements i’d like to mention from my experience.

first, the “remastered” stuff from a2 offers some nice refinement of previous models. the dynacomp. first fuzzface, and phase100 stomps especially sound improved to me.

the new mic modeling and placement not only adds considerable depth to the sonic palette, it is also laid out in a very streamlined and quick interface. this is particularly an improvement over other amp sims that require digging into the gui to manipulate all the features that are right at your fingertips in amplitube 3. the streamlined interface is also quite noticable with the added four track recorder. i was quickly able to record and overdub ideas without practically any effort past simply transcribing my ideas to the guitar. also gui related, the “hot-swappable” stomps are a welcomed update and make manipulating and checking out routing possiblities much easier in this version of amplitube.

the new models sound terrific and really bring a new level of detail both sonically and functionally. while playing the new copper vox, i immediately was floored by the range of tone the single amp could express. i think the attention to special detail that ik executed in the behavior of each amp’s unique controls is fabulous and brings modeling to a new level.

and damn… that electric mistress sounds beautiful.

Thanks! It shouldn’t be long now since it is February today :)
If this is released on the 28th – It is going to be the longest February ever. :P
LOL sorry, that would be cruel. Honestly, we’re looking to the last week of the month so I won’t get hopes too far up but I won’t say the 28th.

We also still have the AT3PRE coupon code, for those who qualify – which is anybody from someone who owns a Powered By AmpliTube product to someone completely new to IK Multimedia products. Here are the details:

We’re looking forward to the last week of this month, which is when AmpliTube 3 is expected to be released. With that, I thought I’d post the preorder coupon code here, and explain who can qualify for what final price. I will also include the AmpliTube 3 Pedal package. The coupon expires February 28, 2010 and cannot be combined with any other promotional code (including JamPoints).

Upgrade: If you own one full (non-NFR/promotional) Powered By AmpliTube product like AmpliTube 2, Hendrix, Metal, Fender, or Ampeg SVX: Use the coupon for $50 / €40 off of the preorder price of $199.99 / €149.99 for a final price of $149.99 / €109.99

Crossgrade: For owners of other or “light” products like CSR, T-RackS 3, our virtual instruments, AmpliTube 2 Live, Duo, Uno, etc: Use the coupon for $50 / €40 off the crossgrade price of $269.99 / €199.99 for a final price of $219.99 / €159.99

Full: If you are completely new to IK products, you’ve picked a great product to start with. You can use the coupon for $50 off the full price of $349.99 / €269.99 for a final price of $299.99 / €229.99

AmpliTube 3 Pedal: If you’d like to purchase the StealthPedal and full version of AmpliTube 3 together – our AmpliTube 3 Pedal package – you can use the coupon for $50 off the $399.99 / €299.99 price for a final price of $349.99 / €259.99

The coupon code is AT3PRE and can be used in the IK Multimedia store.

Also, just to let you know – these aren’t the last of them. We did these earlier to “tease” the product before NAMM. We probably can’t do every piece of gear, though, because I factored it all in today and with the new AmpliTube 3 models, plus the remastered Hendrix and Metal and AmpliTube 2 models, you’re looking at the software equivalent of almost $100,000 worth of real gear if you were to buy it all!

Oh, and for the record – we do purchase REAL equipment to accurately model. 🙂
