Hey everybody. First-time poster here!
Before I go spouting any crazy opinions, I thought I'd start off with a question.
What are the most overrated/overpriced guitars?
I'll kick things off:

| Pretty much anything from PRS, and that includes Santana. |

| I debated on Gibson myself. Their new guitars lately have been truly bizarre and wildly over-priced as well as the insane prices for their classics. I just bought an ESP Eclipse II that plays better than any Les Paul I've ever touched and cost half as much. But I chose PRS guitars because they seem to be everywhere and they aren't very unique and they don't play or sound better than guitars costing half as much. It's high time to change their designs and their prices. |

As a bass player I'd have to go Rickenbacker...3 grand for a bass that looks nasty and sounds homemade 
Guitar wise, Gibsons are over-priced but damn sexy and can sound great IMO, best bet is still to let someone else de-value it by carrying out of the shop; second-hand guitars all the way for me! |
