Yup, I’d go entry-level electric (buy second-hand then you won’t lose anything if you jack it in and re-sell)

Electric and Acoustic guitars are similar, but there are subtle ways that playing them are different.

If you want to play electric guitar then that’s what I’d recommend you buy to start with.
