Hi guys, trying to identify this guitar. Got given it from a mate.

Know nothing about them but for some reason it only works intermittantly through an amp. It's either perfect or nothing.

Want to try and find a wiring diagram as there is one loose wire that could be shorting somewhere?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Value would be interesting but more importantly is it any good?

Looks like someone has had some dodgy repair efforts in the past.

Is there are serial number anywhere, maybe on the back of the neck?

I think it's an Ibanez Jem copy - it has the same shape on the front, but wrong pickups and doesn't have the right curved shape on the back.

This is a picture of an actual Jem

Ah, when you said Status, I was thinking you meant Status Graphite, makers of the now legendary basses (often headless).

They did make a few guitars in the early days too.
