| The weird thing is; a distortocaster worked (in exactly the same way that a Hondo didn't). Are they in any way related to the "Eastwood - Jack White" specimens? |

| No. Brian Eastwood the British luthier who was responsible for the Distortocaster is not connected with Eastwood Guitars - http://www.myrareguitars.com/Eastwood.html - who produce a series of "radical vintage remakes". |

Thanks, I wondered. I remember the Distortocaster back from when I worked on a British magazine. I never touched it, but the people in the office told me it definitely worked.
Those other "Eastwood" guitars I'm keeping my wallet closed on. I'm waiting for the "White Stripes Starter Pack" to come out. I gather it contains the guitar, drumkit, sister/ex-wife (with realistic "special needs" fringe) and a pair of splish-splash tom-tom sticks. What I really want is the songbook, "Dead Simple Riffs You Wish You'd Thought of, But You Didn't and They Did, So They're Rich and You're Not"
, but credit to them |

| I quite like the green, but not with the red tortoiseshell scratchplate. |

Oh dear. Some people try too hard.
Didn't anyone ever tell them that less is more? |
