maybe they werent twiddling with the knobs but having a whiff of the Mullard EL84's to see if they were up to optimum gigging temprature before wading into the first intro. But then only true pro's would do that, your 2 sound like a pair of Dempsey and Makepeace characters, all hair do's makeup and Fila tracksuits.

Nah, they were on Peaveys Shocked Embarassed No wonder they spent a lot of time trying to get the tone right Smile

Thanks Lee/Bass, I'll have a look at the amps suggested as soon as I'm in the market for one, I must confess I've never played bass through a valve amp Embarassed but I'll definately check them out, thanks again,
