ok so I opened a thread before where I discussed some pedals.. and I got a suggestion to buy the Matchless Dirtbox.. but I can't find it anywhere.
Does anyone here know a website where I can find the preferences and ( or ) pricings ?
also, does it pay to buy a marshall OD pedal ? and which one ?
i play solo in a rock band

Seyo, I mentioned the Matchless. I think it is no longer made. My guitarist had his unit fail and it was a very tricky repair. Some new company has taken over the name.

The important thing to remember is that this is (was) a very expensive, £300, OD/distortion. I think it's briliant, but I wouldn't spend that much money just on my say-so. Perhaps you might hear a really good OD on a track by a band you like. A web-search may turn up the information on what pedal was used. The more info you get, the better your chances of buying something that doesn't disappoint you.

i seem to remember something about Matchless going out of buisness last year, but a search on thier amps brings up lots of dealers, ive never played one of those dirtboxes but ive seen outstanding reveiws on them, but if you are looking for a valve driven overdrive pedal then how about the Messa one? i think its called the 'V-Twin'? same kind of money too.
