Oh yeah, and the reason for the guitar is that they have some deal with Gibson so that the guitar represents less cost for them than real cash. Guess I shoulda held out for more, lol.

BUT, the domain name only cost me $25....

Not a bad return, but now I'll ahve to think up a new name for my yacht so it can have a site in its name Wink

Very Happy , Jesse. For all that I've said, you've done better than most of us on the quid pro quo. You've got a domain name; they've got a Gibson endorsement. You're happy, they're happy.

Back in the '90s, a mag I worked for was always getting the "how do I protect my band's name?" enquiry. Nowadays, the answer's simple - dotcom it. I kid you not. An extremely hyped-up British band called "Suede" had to re-name themselves (demeaningly) "The London Suede" because some girly lounge singer had the name already and reckoned they were trading off her. Answer? Dotcom it.

Mod Lee's got the (difficult) task of dotcomming "Land". I've got the (slightly less difficult) task of dotcomming "The Difference Engine".

Jesse, I suggest you rename your yacht "Gwen Stefani Naked" and dotcomm it. There's no real pics out there yet, but when it happens, I might offer you a signed Sunn Mustang in exchange for the domain name. Very Happy
