| I have a 67 Hofner 500/1 which has a black neck, same as the headstock. This is unlike all others that I have seen that have the maple burst neck. I am the original owner so I know everything is original. Has anyone ever heard of this or know about this? thanks |

| No idea about vintage basses myself but did fancy a Hofner for a while, might be worth you checking out http://www.hofners.co.uk/index.php someone must know on there! The 500/1 has its own board with many posts. |
