I just bought a used Ventura V3VS and the cpmpany website says little to nothing about this quitar. I would like to know what type of wood it is made form and any other information some one might have. Any one with some sort of info would be great. I didnt pay much so I dont expect much just a little info Thanks

If you looked at the Ventura website (the "unofficial" one, these guitars were made in Japan in the 60s/70s) then you know most of what I know. I haven't come across the V3 but the pattern with Venturas seems to be that as the number gets bigger, the quality of woods and fancy features increase. I saw a Harmony Central review for a V6 which stated that the top and sides were laminates so yours might also be. Shame if so, because the solid spruce and rosewood/mahogany sides guitars are considered real steals.

The website catalogue display is a little limited but our sometime contributor, SB, runs Vintaxe and may have more useful stuff:

You will need to register in order to see the actual pages but you could contact him first to confirm if the V3 is listed in his catalogues.
