My son is a lefty and wants to start playing an acoustic guitar. Since he is a beginner, I was wondering what is involved in converting one of my Yamahas over to a lefty. I don't care about the pickguard, since this would just be a temporary solution until he has a little more experience and I'm ready for the investment in a great lefty guitar. Is it a simple conversion that I can do myself by switching out the strings or do I need to take it to my guitar shop? Or maybe not a good idea at all? Hearing from anyone who has done this before would be much appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your help! |

| I'm curious. Did you restring the guitar? Is your son playing now? |

| This is tough job but doable. Still, practicing and getting used to will be a both hard process to go through. |
