Hi from Italy. I'm new on this forum.
I'd like to have some info on Aria A553 guitar. I'm desperately trying to know if top back and sides are solid or laminated.
Any advice?
Thanks |

Hey Tal.
Approximately what year was your guitar made? I may have an Aria catalog that lists your model if you can give me an approximate date to look for.
You can also look at the sound hole to see if the grain lines run uninterrupted from the outside to the inside surface. If so, the top is solid. There is a discussion and picture of what you are looking for here:

I tried looking at grain lines, but I can't see them clearly. I also saw a catalog on line where top is described as "selected cedar" (not solid, so maybe it's laminated). I don't know what year guitar was made, I believe about early 70s. It has a blue label inside. It's hancrafted, made in Japan, flamenco model. That's all I know. If you could find more info please post them.
Thank you SB, I hope you can understand my bad English.
Best regards.
