View Original Thread: Epiphone Serial number

Hello guys, I'm the owner of an Epiphone LP-100.
I would like to know when it was made, I'm not sure if it's from 1972 or 1995.
It's second hand and sound really great, was a good choice. In the shop, the employer told me that it was one of the first korean guitars.
The guitar has the gibson logo in the bell, but in the pale is written Epiphone.

This is the serial number F5120072. Could you help me to know how many years the guitar has. I thought it was from 1972, but the "serial number decoder" tells me its from 1995. I know there were problems between 1970 and 1980, but could you help me.

Thank you very much. If you need i will post pics.
