ITS MZI 1182XX SIX NUMBERS NOT FIVE

MZI 1182XX - Firstly, the MZ suggests this was made in Baja California, Mexico (that's the M) and the Z refers to the current decade (the "zeros").

There's not a lot of info on dating Mexican Fenders as there is on the more desirable American and Japanese models. I'm guessing, but I suspect your "I" is actually a "1", meaning that this is a 2001 Jazz bass. Six-digit serials are not at all unusual on Fender guitars from the 90s onwards.

As for value, it would be the usual rate for a four-year-old Mexican Jazz bass. A quick look at the completed listings on eBay should tell you. Hope this helps and, if I'm wrong, someone will chime in. SB usually looks in at "value" Qs.
