I just dug up my old gibson epiphone guitar and want to know if anyone can help me put a ball park value on it. I bought it new in 1967, when these guitars were still made in the US, has 6 strings, no cracks, model EC 100, walnut fretts and cherry body. it is inlaid around the 'hole' but otherwise unadorned and unchanged. thanks vicki

a Texan around that year would cost around £1200 ($2000) not knowing the exact model you quote i would say it was a lesser one, EC100 sounds like a lower end entry level guitar, but still it is a Kalamazoo 1967, good condition, i would think you are looking at $1500+ the Epi's made in that factory were extremly good instruments.

thank you very much for your informative reply! I guess I have to decide whether and how to get it formally appraised vs consider playing it after all these years of neglect! cheers, vicki
