- Press Release

Michael Kelly introduces a first... A first at least for the Michael Kelly line of arch tops. Beginning in January of 2007 Michael Kelly will welcome the first ever bolt-on electric guitar to its line of well known archtops. Always known for finely crafted set-neck, single octave 22 fret guitars - the simple designed, Valor X breaks a lot of rules in the MK family! The Valor X's 25-1/2" scale is all business! Equipped with a fast 24 fret, double octave, unpainted bolt-on neck, it's ready to lay down blazing lead riffs.

The Valor X is also equipped with another Michael Kelly first - Rockfield Pickups' Mafia humbuckers. The Mafia humbucker utilizes ceramic magnets. The use of a ceramic magnet gives the Mafia extra power due to the increased magnetic field that they provide. This feature makes the Mafia produce hotter and thicker tones that are really aggressive and full. Balanced and full of sustain this pickup is a great representation of its namesake, a truly intimidating killer.

The Valor X is available in two striking Spalted Maple finishes along with classic killer black.
