Im no bass player Tim, but does Flea rate as a great Bassman? or is he a 1 club in the bag player like Mark King?
The thing i like about RHCP numbers is the basslines, they have more groove than an extended special edition triple album anniversary cut of 'Tubular bells' , i heard that the other day in the garden, im out there digging footings for a log cabin and someone a few gardens over was playing it a full blast on their stereo, i had to down tools and come inside til the storm was over.

| Most definitely one of the greats (IMO), listen to Hey Ho, very understated and mellow b-line then Hump de Bump...funky, funky and everywhere in between, he's one of my faves even though I wouldn't want to copy his style. |
