I found a Bolivian classical guitar in a junk shop recently and have not been able to find any info about the maker or the guitar. Here are some pics of the guitar

I have a serious problem with you post....I asked on all the forum of the planet to get infos about your guitar and now....they ALL want to know how it sounds!!! (me too...possible?)

It sounds beautiful. Very deep and rich sound with a wonderful sustain.

I paid $150 US for it....not too bad. Like I said, it was sitting in the window of a junk shop here in Los Angeles. I happened to see it before anyone else Very Happy

Hmmm;..... not a lot of infos!!!

I doubt we will find anything on this maker, but the influence of German guitars cerca 1880 is apparent. The inlays remind me of some Italian instruments of this period.
The body shape certainly looks like the typical late 19th c. German/Austrian guitar but the sides seem to be deeper in proportion to the body size than most of them. The inlays do look rather Italian.
From what is visible of the label....the word "Fabrica" means factory or manufacturer and "Cuerda(s)" means string(s).
The label may translate to something like "Manufacturer of Stringed Instruments - S. Oscar Fernandez Rodriguez" and probably also includes the name of a city/town and a street address.
Unfortunately, there just isn't much information out there about the South and Central American guitar makers!

I had a search also, without much luck. Can you post up here as much of the label info that you can read? My Spanish isn't too bad and I might be able to turn up something.

At first, my heart sank as the label didn't tell me any more than Acoustica1 already said, basically "Manufacturer of stringed instruments", but I think I found something. A bit of a search turned up this info:

I suggest you click on it and use the email contact included on the page. Although your guitar is not a Charango, they might well know of this maker. The Moises mentioned above may be just a coincidence, because I found that name on another site listed as having an address in La Paz, but other makers in the Aiquile-Cochabamba region were listed, with postal address and fax number, so this site may be a useful backup:
