How exactly would I go about painting something onto my guitar body without having to completely remove all the paint? All I want to do is add a symbol on top of the already existing colour...

Hello and welcome to the forum, Skipper Smile

"Guitar ReRanch" are THE BOYS as far as paintwork goes. I've long had their website in my favourites. Start here:
http://reranch.com/index.htm

and read through. I really doubt if I can add to it, but if you have any Qs about the technical stuff, please feel very welcome to come back here for clarification. In fact, you're welcome to chime in on anything else you read here at Guitarsite. Let us know how your paint job develops.

Hey Skipper, 2 questions:

How professional a finish do you want?
How permanent do you want this to be?

I am incapable of leaving my guitars (or anything else TBH) un-modded but I don't really tend to go for slick pro-finishes...
