I certainly wouldn't like to see someone spunk serious money on a so-what DSL wrapped in a ridiculous set of semi-exotic planks and no ventholes. Pointless.

This isn't just "optimistic"; it's barking mad:

the seller mentions the new price of £300 in the description Rolling Eyes

Shocked That would definately qualify as THE most optimistic ebayer I've seen so far. How the hell you price something like this that far above new price is beyond me.

It's not saying this is a bad guitar, just that I think $18,000 is a little steep.

Would you leave a guitar supposedly worth that kind of money standing around at the edge of a swimming pool?[/img]

100 coats of acrylic ?? glass like finish?? the photos don't show that.
the finish looks real dodgy, is acrylic finish better than nitros?

They've managed to 'Hand-scalp' through the veneer into the crappy laminate behind in fact...nice

But, I can see the point of the higher fret 'scalping'

100 layers of Acrylic..why is that good?
