- Press Release

Country music artist Jo Dee Messina is making a career-defining return to the top of the country charts—and she’s taking her Ernie Ball Music Man Axis Super Sport with her.

Described on her website as “an award-winning, multi-platinum recording artist that has given her heart and soul to find success,” Messina has been an Ernie Ball endorsee for over five years, and fans will notice the Purple Sparkle Axis Super Sport that is accompanying her on her sprint to the top. (While primarily a vocalist, Jo Dee does play electric guitar on several songs of her set.)

Messina’s fourth studio album “Delicious Surprise” recently took the #1 spot on Billboard’s Country Album Chart, selling over 98,955 copies in just one week. She was last seated in that same spot when her third album “Burn” sold 61,151 copies. Messina also recently reeled in her ninth #1 single when “My Give a Damn’s Busted,” the first single released from “Delicious Surprise,” took a fast seat atop the Country Song Chart.

“My greatest hope is that somewhere, somebody will hear this record, and find in it what I’ve found in music my entire life--reassurance, understanding, inspiration, strength and compassion,” the Ernie Ball artist says of her latest album on her website. “Music has always been an enormous part of my life. It’s not just something I do, it’s part of who I am.”
