i have a quest (by vantage i think) atak 1 japanese electric guitar. i believe it was manufactured in the (late?) seventies. it has a modern, angular body and unusualy a humbucking pick up at the neck as opposed to the bridge position where there is a single coil.
does anyone have any other info on this guitar? what might it have cost at the time of manufacture and what is it worth today?

thanks-in anticipation, for your reply!

Hi. I was wondering if anyone could give me an estimate on what this guitar could be worth. I'm posting this for my father who isn't very computer savy so any quesstions you have I'll have to ask him. Here is the information we have on the guitar. It's a Gibson Marauder. The number on the guitar is 72769588ydddy and the date on it is October 3, 1979. Any information you can provide is greatly appreciated.

Hi people, not shure how this works its the first time I use a forum. I repair guitars and I bought this BC RICH LA SERIES ( on head stock ),It has a soloist body shape, floating floyd rose ,active pick ups and diamond inlays on rosewood neck. Also the neck plate reads Serial number BC1954 L.A. California USA . All gold hardware and all seems to be origanal. I started to tear down this old girl to re build her but I can't find any info thats of value to me, what year is it? how many were made? Hopefully someone can help?

I am new to this site and was wanting to see what the value was of my guitar. Many of the post I have read seem to me that the peolple on here are very knowledgable and know way more than I do or can find on the internet. I tried looking for my guitar on E-bay but could not find it so I could not go off of their price listings. Thats the problem I'm having is finding anyone selling them to find what kind of price I should be asking if I decide to sell. Any input would be appreciated. Thank, Joy
