I just bought a V-14 from a widow for $125 ($85-$100 new). The condition is 9.5 out of 10. For a 40 +/- year old guitar, this one is near perfect (only a few scratches on the pickguard).

The headstock has more of a scroll look to it at the top than the ones in the 1968 and 1970's catalogs. The pickguard as well as the mother-of-pearl inlays look like the ones in the 1968 catalog. (ser. # 63424)

From what I can find, I figure this is a Japanese copy of a Gibson J-50 or a Martin D-18 or a combination of both.

Does anyone know the real value of this guitar, year made or know where to find out any more information about it?
