Folks this is my first posting so I hope I don't break any rules.
I have an opportunity to buy a 1980 Ibanez acoustic but the model number is a total mystery. I searched the serial number (B801459) and it's made in Japan at the Terada factory in Jan 1980; label is faded but the Model No. looks like 14-54V (or maybe 14-54U) which has no resemblance to any of the early Ibanez models I am aware of. It looks like a spruce (solid?) top with laminated maple B&S and almost identical to an M340 with same shape headstock & MOP inlay. I'm tempted to buy it but it doesn't seem to belong anywhere in the Ibanez lineup. If anyone can help I would be grateful.
Thanks,
