Hello,
I just received a few guitars for free, and this guitar was included in the lot. Not much marking on it, kinda a Gibson like body in a way, single pickup. The only marking on the headstock is an "A." Any ideas on what this is? Thanks!

Hey Cody.

Your guitar reminds me of a Harmony built instrument.

Here is what I believe to be a cousin on eBay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/1957-SILVERTONE-HARMONY-H42-STRATOTONE-RARE-/180597093540?pt=Guitar&hash=item2a0c6cf4a4

Notice it has the same pickup and general build characteristics as your guitar.

If you have the curiosity and $10 subscription fee, you may want to take a look through my Harmony catalogs to pin down the date/model.

Good luck

Do many people buy subscritions?

I just curious - looks interesting.

We average about 60 subscriptions per month ziggy, a few more in the winter and a few less in the summer. Subscribers consistently report that it is the best $10 they ever spent.

I've fixed it for you.

We have a bug in the forum where sometimes your first login doesn't work and you have to try again - normally you'd notice because you can't post, but I've turned guest posting on to trial it and see how it goes - your first login didn't work but it let you post as "guest".
