Forum regular Rocklogicxxxxx points out the The Stringstation, (or as he calls it, The 40 Stringed Monster) a custom 40-string surround-sound musicical instrument. What a beast.

"The StringStation utilizes most every playing technique known to stringed instruments and new ones as well that have evolved from the combination of 3 customized 8-string steel guitars, one 6-string and a 10-string Chapman Stick. The effect is quite awesome and unique. "
"Developed by former Passport/Audion recording artist Jim Bartz. Bartz was discovered and signed as a guitarist pre-StringStation by Larry Fast of Peter Gabriels band while he was an engineer/producer at one of the midwests premier recording facilities."
